Get Your Group Together at South Water Kitchen

We have a very special room, the River Room, which is reserved for special groups, parties and intimate corporate events. It seats up to 35 and can be arranged so that it's an open space, semi private or completely private, one that's exclusive to just you and your guests. The River Room overlooks the corner of South Water and Wabash, and is kitty corner to the Chicago River. It provides one of the city's most memorable gathering places, with service the consummately compliments this special space.

While we don't charge a fee for the room, we do place very high emphasis on the level of service you'll experience. Chef Roger Waysok personally creates our private dining menus, and he will gladly accommodate special requests.

For larger groups, the adjacent Hotel Monaco Chicago offers meeting planners a virtual blank canvas. Floor plans range from just under 1,000 sq. ft. to over 4,000 sq. ft., and can entertain from 180 to 280 guests. As with the River Room, Chef Waysok and his team handle all catering responsibilities, while the Hotel Monaco's meetings and event professionals manage everything else.
